NHS Orkney seeking two new Non-Executive Board Members
NHS Orkney is now inviting applications for the role of two Non-Executive Board members to join the NHS Orkney Board.
Candidates should have an understanding of delivering healthcare in a remote and rural setting.
NHS Orkney is a forward‑thinking, compassionate organisation at the heart of island life, with a strong focus on innovation, collaboration, and person‑centred care. Joining NHS Orkney offers a unique opportunity for someone who wants to make a meaningful impact. As a Non‑Executive Board member, you can help shape strategic direction, champion excellence, and support a dedicated workforce that truly embodies the values of public service.
There will be an information session where potential candidates can learn more about the roles and ask questions on Wednesday 11 March from 11am – 12pm, held virtually, via MS Teams. The MS Teams link can be found here, Information Session MS Teams link.
Davie Campbell, Interim Chair of NHS Orkney said: “I’m excited to see these posts go live and welcome fresh ideas to NHS Orkney. Last month we held informal information sessions to give those interested in these opportunities a deeper insight into the roles. These sessions were extremely well attended by the local community and we hope those interested come forward to apply. We’re hosting one final information session on Wednesday 11 March and I’d encourage anyone interested to join the call. However, I’d also like to encourage anyone who hasn’t attend these sessions but is still interested in the opportunities to apply. Joining NHS Orkney means becoming part of an organisation that is small enough for every voice to matter, yet ambitious enough to drive real and lasting change.”
You can read more about the roles and apply via the link here, Public Appointments Scotland.
