Anna Lamont

Dr. Anna Lamont brings a wealth of leadership experience to her role as Executive Medical Director with NHS Orkney. Her extensive career, originating in General Practice, has seen her emerge as a forward-thinking leader within NHS Scotland dedicated to enhancing healthcare quality. Her leadership has been instrumental in driving advancements in Clinical Governance, Unscheduled Care, and Healthcare Informatics, enhancing the quality of healthcare provision.

Her tenure has been marked by the development of award-winning initiatives which have significantly advanced care sustainability and service delivery. These initiatives have united diverse professional skill sets, underpinning collaborative efforts to achieve healthcare excellence. Dr. Lamont champions a leadership style focused on compassion and transformation, advocating for a healthcare environment that prioritises empathy, respect, and understanding.

In mentorship, Dr. Lamont dedicates herself to the cultivation of the next generation of healthcare leaders, promoting an environment that endorses lifelong learning and critical thinking.
