Rona Gold
Rona Gold joined the NHS Orkney Board in September 2022 and brings experience in leading community engagement and partnership working to effect change in service delivery and strategic planning within the public sector. Rona also has a strong track record in project and change management.
Rona joined Local Government 18 years ago and has enjoyed a wide range of experiences through varied roles, from waste management to community wellbeing, primarily focussed on leading change. Rona has also worked at a national level for Local Government and been involved in helping to shape Scottish Government Policy on Waste, Carbon and Climate Change and Community Empowerment. Rona’s interests are in building effective partnerships, collaborative leadership and ensuring community voice in decision making.
Rona is a member of the Audit & Risk Committee and the Joint Clinical & Care Governance Committee. Rona is also a deputy member of the Integration Joint Board (IJB) and the Orkney Partnership Board.
Outwith the Non-Exec role Rona works full time, studies Theology and has an active voluntary life. She enjoys walks with her dog, time with family and travelling within Scotland and across the world.
