NHS Orkney’s 2025/26 Non-Ministerial Annual Review

Posted on:

The Scottish Government monitor the performance of each health board on an ongoing basis, and part of the process includes an Annual Review.

Members of the public are invited to join NHS Orkney’s Non-Ministerial Annual Review on Wednesday 18 November from 12pm – 2pm at The Balfour, to hear about a range of developments underway to further improve care and services for our community and patients.

The meeting will include a summary of how we did in 2025/26 against our priorities and national standards and will cover both our achievements and challenges. As well as a question and answer session.

The meeting will be led by our Board Chair Davie Campbell, and attended by the Board’s Chief Executive Dave Harris, Executive Team and wider Board members. There will be no ministers from the Scottish Government in attendance this year.

The review will be held in a hybrid way, with in-person attendance taking place at The Balfour in the Brodgar Room from 12pm – 2pm and online via MS Teams, ensuring the meeting is accessible to all. The Teams link is here, NHSO Annual Review MS Teams Link. Please do not join via the link until Wednesday 18 November.

Questions should be submitted in advance by emailing ork.corporategovernance@nhs.scot or by calling 01856 888197. Questions can also be dropped off or sent via post to The Balfour, addressed to “Corporate Governance”. Questions must be submitted by Friday 30 October. Please remember even if you are not able to attend, you can still submit questions.

Davie Campbell, Board Chair at NHS Orkney said: “Our Annual Review is almost upon us once again and I’d like to reiterate the invitation to everyone to please submit your questions to us by emailing or calling our Corporate Governance Team via the above routes. Your questions help shape the review and it is vitally important we hear from you, our community. I’d also like to encourage you to come along and attend, hear for yourself how we have done against our priorities for 2025/26. If you can’t make it along on the day, the recording will be shared online for you to watch at your leisure.”

The Annual Review will be recorded and available on our website following the event.

If you’d like to join the Non-Ministerial Annual Review, please head along to The Balfour on Wednesday 18 November for a 12pm start.
