Return to Practice Programme – Nursing

NHS Orkney is encouraging anyone who has let their nursing registration lapse and interested in returning to practice to attend an upcoming meeting about what’s available.
The return to practice programme for nurses involves a short course to prepare for re-joining the NMC register and enables nurses to return to their field of practice in a safe and confident manner. The course can be completed via a full or part-time route and hours are negotiated depending on length of lapse of registration. Funding is also available to undertake the programme.
Georgie Green, Practice Educator at NHS Orkney said: “This is an excellent opportunity for qualified nurses to return to practice. If you still have a passion for nursing and would love to return we would love to support you. We have opportunities in varied roles so please join the virtual event or get in touch for more information.”
If you’re interested and want to hear more, you can join the information session on Wednesday 13 November from 6pm – 8pm. The session will be held via MS Teams and the link for joining is here, Return to Practice – Information Session.
If you want to speak to Georgie about the programme or the information session itself, you can contact her by emailing ork.practiceeducation@nhs.scot.
