Not one, not two but three finalists!

We are delighted that three members of NHS Orkney have made it to the final of this year’s Scotland’s Health Awards.

Each of these finalists live our promise, values and priorities every day, looking after our community and providing excellent care.

Anne Gregg, Macmillan Specialist Nurse and Amanda Manson, Cardiology Specialist Nurse have both been nominated for Nurse of the Year Award respectively. And Melissa Lindsay, Midwife and Sonographer has been nominated for Midwife of the Year Award.

Scotland’s Health Awards acknowledge and celebrate those working across NHS Scotland and its partners to deliver high quality health and social care services to the people of Scotland. The Awards are held annually and voting was open to all colleagues across Scotland as well as the community.

Laura Skaife-Knight, NHS Orkney Chief Executive said: “I am incredibly proud of Anne, Amanda and Melissa for receiving this well-deserved national recognition for their dedication to NHS Orkney and the NHS, for consistently providing excellent care to our patients and community.
