Further to the Amber Weather Warning put in place for more snow across Orkney, our sites continue to remain open. However, we are strongly urging patients to reschedule their appointments if they are not clinically necessary. If you can attend your appointment safely, and you feel it is urgent, please do so with extreme caution. To reschedule your appointment, please get in touch, if you know the department you are visiting, please call the department directly.

We will have reduced staffing in some departments due to the weather so if you are calling to reschedule appointments, please bear with us and we will get to you as soon as we can.

  • The Baby Immunisation and Pneumococcal Immunisation clinics on Thursday 18 January, have been cancelled. Those with scheduled appointments will be contacted by the vaccination team with another appointment.
  • For anyone with an appointment at a mainland GP practice, please check the practice social media pages for updates.

Health advice can be sought on NHS Inform, https://www.nhsinform.scot/ or by calling NHS24 on 111. In an emergency, please call 999.
