Joanna Kenny joined the NHS Orkney Board in February 2021 and brings experience in local authority strategic planning and organisational change, with a strong emphasis on developing partnerships with a wide range of stakeholders. She has expertise in using innovative engagement to widen participation in community learning and development and was an early adopter of e-learning and digital inclusion. Her wider experience includes residential home management with elderly and disabled people.
Joanna is Vice-Chair of the Board, Chair of the Staff Governance Committee, Chair of the Remuneration Committee, Chair of the Integration Joint Board (IJB), and a trustee of NHS Orkney Endowment Fund.
Joanna enjoys being by the sea, making things, and spending time with her pets. She is an advocate of continuous learning and is always busy learning a new skill or helping others to learn.
