Looking after our community and providing excellent care

Changes to Community Pharmacy – 19th March 2020

Comms re Community Pharmacists – 19th March 2020 – Patients

Our community pharmacies are currently receiving an unprecedented number of prescriptions. To ensure all prescriptions are processed in a timely manner:

  • Boots the Chemist, Albert Street, Kirkwall will be reducing its opening hours to the public to allow additional time for staff to focus on processing the huge number of prescriptions being received.  Boots opening hours with immediate effect will be Monday to Saturday 10:00 to 16:00 and closed for lunch 12:00 to 13:00
  • All branches of WHB Sutherlands and the Dounby Pharmacy normal opening hours

We will continue to post regular updates via social media (Facebook and Twitter) and NHS Orkney’s website and we would encourage people to check for the latest information.
