The Balfour Switch Software Update W/C 19 July

During week commencing 19th July, the IT department will be carrying out mandatory software upgrades within the Balfour. To minimise disruption these will take place in the evenings from 1930.

There will be intermittent communication disruption to the Balfour switchboard (01856 888000) for three brief 10-minute periods on the evening of Tuesday 20th July from 1930-2100.

If you are calling the switchboard urgently during this time (including those from the Isles) and you can not get through you can use the back-up number; 07795453757. Please only use this number if your call is urgent and you are calling during the disrupted times stated above.

Michael Dickson, Interim Chief Executive of NHS Orkney stated “these are required upgrades that are mandatory to ensuring our service is up-to-date. We expect there to be minimal disruption but have issued the switchboard back-up number just in case it is required. We appreciate your co-operation and patience during this time.”

All upgrades will be complete by 2100 on Friday 23rd July.
