HENRY launches in Orkney
NHS Orkney are now working together with Home-Start Orkney to deliver “HENRY Healthy Families: Right from the Start” programmes right here in Orkney. The programme is an 8-week programme for parents and carers providing a range of support and skills to help build upon and achieve a healthy and fun lifestyle for the whole family. The programme is completely free and available to any parents or carers who have a child, or children aged between 0 – 5 years old.
HENRY is a charitable organisation who are passionate about babies and children getting the best possible start in life. This means supporting the whole family to make positive lifestyle changes, creating healthier and happier home environments, and building healthier communities.
If you would like to take part in the first programme, you can. The first programme will start on Wednesday 21 August and will be held at the Skills Development Scotland building in Kirkwall. We are also looking into delivering programmes online in the near future for those who aren’t able to make it in-person. Everyone who attends the programme will be given a free resource pack with story books and helpful handouts.
