Members Appointed to NHS Orkney Board
The Cabinet Secretary for Health and Sport has announced the appointments of David Campbell, Issy Grieve and Meghan McEwen as Members of NHS Orkney Board.
MEMBERS
David Campbell is a local businessman with over 20 years’ experience specialising in finance/auditing within the private, public and third sector. He is involved with several local organisations as an active committee member and advisor. David is extremely passionate about making an attractive and safe environment to live and work and is proud of Orkney’s reputation for being a warm and welcoming place. He is looking forward to having the opportunity to be part of NHS Orkney in exciting times.
Issy Grieve is an Orcadian, living in the parish of Birsay, where generations of her family have lived before. She recently retired from her role as Assistant Principal at Orkney College UHI, but continues in voluntary work as Chair of Birsay Heritage Trust. The skills Isobel hopes to bring to her new role as a board member, include good communication and listening skills. She is aware of the exciting, but challenging time for NHS Orkney, and hopes to contribute some creative thinking towards the challenges which lie ahead. Isobel is delighted to have been appointed and is looking forward to working with other board members, NHS Orkney staff and the wider community.
Meghan McEwen has lived in Westray for 15 years, she has spent much of that time working in community development. Meghan has developed a range of skills in governance, outcomes-based planning, and community engagement. She is committed to working towards keeping Orkney a safe, happy and inclusive place to live.
APPOINTMENTS
The appointments will be for four years. David Campbell will take up appointment on 4th June 2018 to 3rd June 2022, Issy Grieve will take up appointment on 1st July to 30th June 2022 and Meghan McEwen take up appointment on 1st September to 31st August 2022.
The appointments are regulated by the Commissioner for Ethical Standards in Public Life in Scotland.
