Looking after our community and providing excellent care

Orkney Wayfaring

Wayfaring Orkney Logo

Free, Accessible, fun

Wayfaring.  Think treasure hunt!  A walk with a little challenge thrown in. Fun for a family outing or to make that lunchtime walk a little more absorbing.

How does it work?  Choose the route and see how many answers you can find.  Each route comes with a map marked with numbered pink circles .  Each circle has a clue as to what you are looking for.  Find as many or as a few of the answers as you want.  Answers available from Wayfaring map pick up points.

Guidelines. Possession of the map does not give right of access.  All participants are responsible for their own safety and need to be aware of their own limitations and liabilities.  When crossing roads - use pedestrian crossings where available or find a place where you can see and be seen.  Be especially careful around parked card.  Dress appropriately for weather.
Accessibility. No special adaptations have been made on these routes.  Whilst avoiding steps and awkward terrain where possible, this is not guaranteed.  Please take the route as you find it!  Feedback is always welcome.

Free maps and clues available from:
