Wave of Light Service
The Balfour maternity unit staff would like to invite all those affected by the loss of a baby, at any stage in pregnancy, to join them for a small service at the St Magnus Centre on Friday 15th October from 6.30pm.
We will remember all those babies who have gone too soon and take part in the international Wave of Light by lighting a candle at 7pm. This event will conclude Baby Loss Awareness Week which runs from Saturday 9th to Friday 15th October.
We would encourage you to take along your partner, family and friends to the service.
We know though that this tragic event affects us more than just one week out of the year and would encourage anyone who is struggling to reach out. Organisations such as SiMBA and Sands have a number of services available which are dedicated to helping those affected.
