Looking after our community and providing excellent care

World Suicide Prevention Week

There are many ways you can show your support in the lead up to World Suicide Prevention day on 10 September. An emotional and heartfelt patient story at our recent board meeting highlighted the need to raise awareness of this important cause.

We invite you to light a candle near a window at 8pm, to show your support for suicide prevention, to remember a lost loved one, and for the survivors of suicide.

This week sees the launch of the campaign 'There is no shame in saying I'm not fine'

Local folk from all different backgrounds took part in the campaign to support the message that there is no shame in saying 'I'm not fine'. The poster emphasises that no matter what your background we can all be vulnerable sometimes and need a little support.
