Yellow Weather Warning
We are preparing for the adverse weather due to arrive this week, a yellow weather warning has been issued for wind by the Met Office for Orkney.
Our consultants have been contacting some patients, particularly those who live on the isles, to look at reviewing their appointments and rescheduling to a more appropriate time. This is being looked at on a patient-by-patient basis.
If you are concerned about coming in for any appointments at The Balfour over the coming days and have not yet been contacted, please feel free to call and we will do our best to reschedule appointments. If you were given an appointment letter, you should make contact via the details provided. Likewise, if you know the department you are visiting, please call the department directly.
If you are scheduled to have a vaccination appointment at the BB Hall (Kirkwall) over the coming days and are unable to make it due to the weather, you can call 0300 303 5313 to reschedule.
If you have a scheduled appointment with a GP practice, and are concerned you won’t make it, please call the practice directly at your earliest convenience to reschedule.
