Looking after our community and providing excellent care

NHS Orkney Annual Review 2023

NHS Orkney Annual Review

Virtual event via Microsoft Teams - 6-7.30pm, Thursday 9 November

Our patients, local community, partners and staff recently joined us at our Annual Review meeting.

Annual Reviews give you the opportunity to hear about how NHS Orkney is performing, our priorities, challenges and response to these, and plans for the coming year.

NHS Orkney’s Annual Review took place on 9 November 2023, 6-7.30pm via Microsoft Teams and was led by NHS Orkney’s Chair Meghan McEwen. The review is an important part of the way the Board is held to account for its delivery of services and the way public funding is used.

NHS Orkney Chair, Meghan McEwen said: “We’re delighted to be able to invite the public to join us for our Annual Review meeting. This will be an opportunity for us to share the progress we’ve made in the past year, and to set out some of the challenges faced by NHS Orkney as well as share our exciting plans for the future and how we plan to take the Board forward.

“We have much to be proud of, including our improvements to patient care and services and much to look forward to in the year ahead and beyond as we continue our journey of improvement.  It is important to us to listen, engage and hear from our community so that feedback drives our continuous improvement culture.”

The review is an opportunity for members of the public to hear and ask questions about the Board’s performance in 2022/23 and future plans. The session included a presentation from our Chair, Meghan McEwen, followed by an open question and answer session.
